In today’s news, Japan donates funds to support disaster relief in Pakistan. Global warming causes Colombia’s Cerros de la Plaza Glacier to disappear, US researchers link optimism to lower dementia risk, UK prisons required to provide vegan meal options, mystery nurse gives cardiopulmonary resuscitation to cyclist experiencing heart attack in United States, German industrial measurement technology improves efficiency of vegan food production, and humpback whale-person returns to sea after stranding near Australia.

Here is an environmentally friendly cleaning tip. Did you know you can grow saponin-rich plants to make natural soap? There are a variety of these plants. Soapwort flourishes in direct sunlight with well-drained soil consisting of leaves, stems, or roots. Soapweed Yucca favors dry, rocky soil, and can be used to make root-based soap. Soapberries from the Sapindus genus give rise to saponin-rich skins that are ideal for making liquid soap. All you have to do is boil, strain, and preserve it with vinegar. Horse Chestnut conkers can also be boiled to make laundry soap. These soaps are all safe for cleaning but should not be directly ingested. These special plants are perfect for making natural household soap while adding beauty to your garden.

We give laughter a rating of ten out of ten. How about we savor a fun moment together with the joke of the day, entitled, “The Warranty Department.”

Little Nora was worried before her first dentist appointment, so her mom tried to calm her down.

“Don’t worry, Nora. The dentist just wants to count your teeth.”

“That’s it?”

“That’s it. Just counting.”

But once Nora was in the chair and the dentist tilted her back, she squeezed the armrests like she was about to launch into space.

“Open nice and wide for me.”

“Wait! Before you count them, I should tell you something.”

“What’s that?”

“Some of them are still under warranty.”

“Good to know. Hopefully, none of them came with factory defects.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from one of Master’s grateful disciples in Singapore
